Director General for Planning & Coordination
The Director General for Planning and Coordination is composed of 3 officers and 1 team. The Director General establishes & coordinates the major statistical work plans, plans the budgets, coordinates budget enforcement, coordinates work of the National Assembly, coordinates & supports the innovation of business procedures and organizational culture, manages the organization of the Statistics Korea and its staff members through diagnosing and evaluating the organization, coordinates international cooperation, coordinates the evaluation of government businesses and coordinates work related to authoritative agencies.

Main Responsibility
- Coordinating and supporting the innovation of business procedures and organizational culture
- Managing the organization of the Statistics Korea and its staff members through diagnosing and evaluating the organization
- Reforming the system related to civil petitions (including the general public's suggestions) and operating the Statistics Services Room
- Examining statute drafts and instruction drafts, and administering works related to administrative appeals
- Coordinating various reform works related to surveys
- Coordinating the collaboration with other governmental agencies, enterprises and associations
- Coordinating the evaluation of agencies affiliated with Statistics Korea
