Statistics Policy Bureau
The Statistics Policy Bureau is composed of 5 divisions. The Bureau establishes & operates the mid and long-term national statistics development plans, designates & advises the major statistical institutions, establishes & operates the Statistics-based Policy Management System, plans & carries out the national statistics quality management, and establishes the statistical standards.

Main Responsibility
- Establishing and operating mid-term and long-term development plans of national statistics
- Operating the National Statistics System
- Establishing and coordinating plans for improving the National Statistics System
- Operating and supporting the Statistics Committee
- Coordinating other works related to statistical policies
- Operating and supporting the Statistics Officer System
- Operating and supporting the Statistics Cooperative Committee
- Coordinating works related to private non-profit organizations under the Statistics Korea Commissioner
- Establishing and implementing the development plans of regional statistics
- Coordinating works related to cooperation, technical support and provision of regional statistics
- Coordinating the extra works not charged by other divisions within the bureau
